Well, this is the time of year that's the hardest for us. We try to go outside as little as possible. Ben has been watching oodles and oodles of movies, thanks to his new Christmas present, his Netflix viewer, which he can control with his Dynavox. He's watched many Columbo episodes and old Saturday Night Live flicks. So, many, in fact, he's about to drive me crazy! So I encouraged him to start a blog and do movie reviews...check out his link on the right.
Ben's had one instance of pneumonia, but so far, no hospital stays, which is wonderful! Keep those prayers going...
Little Benjamin has just turned one....time flies, doesn't it? He is walking and starting to talk and he loves to eat! He and Sophie are good buddies...sometimes.
Sophie is as fun as ever...she enjoys playing with her Barbie's and her new dollhouse she got from Santa. Check it out in the photos to the right.

Ben and I are going to see the Avett Brothers at OU at the end of February (yeah! Thanks Mom and Dad!)
We are going to stay HEALTHY for the rest of the winter.
Ben's going to do some writing!
We can't wait for Luke and Sarah's wedding July 3!!
We would like to take a vacation this summer. I'm thinking beach house rental (or Lake Erie rental, if we can't go that far). We'd just have to rent a hospital bed, and it would be good to have a rental in view of the ocean, since Ben can't go on the beach in his chair. Our Van Fund is about to deplete. If you are interested in contributing, the address is below. The van is used to take Ben anywhere we go...including showers at the high school once a week, dinners at his parents' house, and (hopefully) a vacation this summer. So far, the Ben Thimmes Van Fund has paid all of the payments since June of 2008 when we did our baseball stadium tour! Isn't that amazing??? You have come through for us so many times!! The Van Fund has helped so much with our finances, and will continue to help in the future. My car is a 2001, and could be needing lots of help in the near future. The other thing the Van Fund helps with is that we'd also like to think about buying our own house...of course just in the initial thought stages. But it would be SO nice to have a shower that Ben can use at home and not have to go out in the cold air. Just a dream, for now, but wanted to put it out there so I would have to start working towards it!
